Rudy Giuliani has been suspended from practicing law in the state of New York. The reason given is his many apparently intentionally false and misleading legal statements made during and after the November, 2020 general election. Giuliani represented Donald Trump and spread unsubstantiated claims of voter fraud and promoted the idea that the election was “stolen.” The committee wrote, “there is uncontroverted evidence that [Rudy Giuliani] communicated demonstrably false and misleading statements to courts, lawmakers and the public at large in his capacity as lawyer for former President Donald J. Trump and the Trump campaign in connection with Trump’s failed effort at reelection in 2020.”
On the other hand, when this decision was made public, Rudy Giuliani's son, Andrew Giuliani, gave a public statement. In it, he said that Rudy Giuliani "did everything, ultimately, by the book."
Let's break down the opinion which was handed down by the court into the main ideas it contains, and invite Andrew Giuliani to let us know which points he disagrees with.
